Yasmine Hamdan: spent her childhood between Lebanon, Gulf countries and Greece. She moved to Paris in 2001, where she actually lives and works. Her latest project is Y.A.S. The album is produced by Miwais, and will be released in April 2009 by Universal.

Zeid Hamdan: Born in Beirut in 1976. He spent his adolescence in Paris. He began his artistic trip on acting in teather and cinema. He continued after returning back to Beirut, at the mean time he played guitar and founded several bands.

Influences
Soapkills originated from the new electro scene that’s currently emerging in the middle-east. the lebanese band inoculates sensual and melancolic music. bread on various musical moods, such as chet baker, aphex twin and stars from the arab world - mohammad abdelwahab, asmahan - the band composes original sounds while getting strong inspiration from the classical arabic repertoire. all of which ruthlessly embedded with electronic arrangements.
Soapkills was formed in 1998 by Zeid Hamdan and Yasmin Hamdan.
The group performed sensual music that draws some of its inspiration from classical arabic song.

Cult group in Lebanon, Soapkills has auto-produced and released several albums, and has performed in Europe, Middle East, Autralia, Canada. The band split in 2005.
