Soarse Spoken speaks from a place deeper than most would care to think about, and pulls up a voice too many of us forget we have; one that is raw, uncompromising, and too powerful to be ignored. The Miami underground is paying attention, soon everyone else will be as well.
It makes sense then, that Soarse is one of the cornerstone MCs of the indie label Botanica del Jibaro. The camp is known for it's politically charged and socially conscious records, which burst the bubble of hip-pop propaganda and bling-bling bullshit with ease.
Born in Colombia in 1979, Soarse knows first hand the poverty and hunger that run rampant in a country that has been destabilized and devastated by the institutions of a now corrupt capitalist society. When you stand on the other side, you have to understand.
It's this realness, this fire, that has allowed Soarse to share the stage with hip-hop luminaries such as J-Live, Mr. Lif and Masta Ace, among others. He has also worked with trailbazing producers ranging from the world famous Prefuse 73, and the Miami/Tokyo legends Climber.
Listening to Soarse makes one remember how powerful an unflinching voice can be. It's no longshot to say that he'll spark that flame within you which this cold world put out a long time ago.
