ABOUT SOUND OF ACOUSTIC
It was one of those days in 2006 when Mo went to Aben's house and saw Aben singing a song he wrote. Mo then picked up the guitar and started to learn how to play.
The Sound of Acoustic was founded by Aben from Shah Alam and Mo of Petaling Jaya. The band first made their big-humble break at Layar Tanchap Shah Alam with Dyana Hani (of Projekt Hairspray) as their vocalist. The idea of Sound of Acoustic is simply a duo-band (Aben and Mo), their own self-composed songs and the different vocalists for each of them. (Nareem Delina is another vocalist who have been performing with them since). Later they recruited Lan, a friend from college as the band's drummer (who also wrote the beautiful song, 'Kau').
In 2008, Aben started of working on the melody of a poem's written by Nazirah Ashari called 'Rigid'. Then the collaboration with Nazirah began and now she's the vocalist of the band. SOA also perform with our permanent guitar sessionist, Abang Is. They are no where near professional and they write songs for fun and for the love of music.
The band is currently in the middle of working on their first EP. Do, please wait! You'll be amazed and you'll love them.
