We got more of a political yet sappy way about us. We sound like the Distillers meets Bad religion, meets the Ramones, meets your daddy. We're some good stuff to get down too. Come to our shows and love us.
Social Concern formed in May, 2003 in Redding, California. Since then, we have relocated with members living in both Chico, CA and Sacramento, CA. We play shows all over, but you can almost always find us playing somewhere in NorCal.
We believe in writing music that means something and we work hard to write music that people can feel, understand and enjoy.
Our influences range far and wide, from hardcore to soft rock, techno, metal and punk. We don't have any favorite music in common, so it keeps things interesting.
Visit our actual website for lyrics, MP3s, more pictures and other random stuff.
You can also find our CD's and shirts for sale on our website, or pick one up at a show.

I was rockin' out to some Fugazi just a few days ago (well let's not lie, every day) and was thinking about how amazing it would be if you played their song Suggestion, off the album 13 Songs. It's all written to be sung by a woman and just fits your style so well. Plus it'd just be AWESOME!
I look forward to getting a copy of the new album when you're in Chico on the 11th. I'm sure it rocks!
