About Social Jet Lag (Vote us for Warped Tour '09!)
Breaking into the scene in May 2008 with their first EP entitled "dancecore (n.)", Social Jet Lag has completely represented the dichotomy between pop and hardcore. The Huntsville, AL based band, made up of vocalists Melissa Germano and Ben Eslinger, guitarists Cody Edger and Wyatt Urban, bassist Jeremy Eslinger, and drummer Skinny Love, has accomplished something not seen too often in the industry. They have layered their hardcore/metal roots with strong pop melodies without sacrificing or compromising one style or the other and the result is a genre all its own. After completing four tours across the southeast in 2008, hitting states from Florida to Texas, Social Jet Lag is returning to the studio to complete their second, self-written, recorded and produced EP currently entitled "The Parisian". The album is due out late this spring. The first single, "If Water Could Burn", has already sparked excitement and anticipation among SjL's loyal and ever-growing fanbase and is causing people to take notice of this young band from Alabama. As is the case, only time will tell, but it's obvious that this band is causing a stir here in the now and will be a band to watch for in the future.
