My name is Carlos M. Mangual. I have a BFA in Graphic Design from The International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa. I like reading comic-books, watching movies and television shows, playing video games and spending time with my girlfriend. I'm also a comic-book creator who occasionally does some freelance work on the side.
Here's what I'm all about...
A Self Portrait Comic
I'm the creator of A Self Portrait Comic. It's an autobiographical, "slice-of-life", romantic comedy that chronicles my search for true love.
If you're a fan of comic-books like Strangers In Paradise, Optic Nerve, Artbabe, Love Sucks, and American Splendor, you should definitely check it out!
Here's what people have said about my comic...
"I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the comic, the style reminded a bit of the famed American Splendor comics." - Patti Martinson (SequentialTart.com)
"It’s a rarity when a comic speaks out this much to me, but A Self Portrait Comic truly sucked me in from the start because of how out of real life it could be." - Ryan McLelland (Newsarama.com)
These are the issues I have available. You can check out previews of my comics in my photo albums! If you're interested in purchasing a copy, feel free to contact me.

Comic Resume
Here are some other comic-book related work that I've done in the past. Ranging from penciling to coloring.
Writers Block Productions
I pencilled Heroes Rebored #1, written by my friend David Arroyo. It's a comedic look at superheroes. (Think Seinfeld with capes.) For more info on that book check, feel free to visit David's blog.

Scare Tactix Graphix
I lettered the first issue of Scare Tactix Graphix' comic book, Kyu Shin. This book will hopefully be just the first of many other projects that I'll work on for this company. Go to their website for more information. Click here to check it out.
Half Moose Media
I've been dabbling with digital coloring. You can check out some of my coloring work in issue two of Tails To Amaze by Marc Hammond and Derrick Fish. For more information go to their official website here.

A one page story that I did starring Bugga The Troll is featured in Realm Quest #1 published by Tiki God Studios. If you're interested, you can order a copy of this comic-book here.
