Thus was born Societal Shift, the ultimate in anarchistic, philosophising, ball-busting thrash metal.
Currently engaged in the writing process, Societal Shift strive to bring about nothing short of blinding thrash, tempered with inimitable lyrics that deal not just with glib leftist meaninglessness, but with a worldview that's as much spiritually as politically pissed off with the state of affairs.
Following arduous months of searching local bars, clubs, and asking everybody we know we have secured a bassist in the form of Dan. A few short weeks after the recruitment of Mr. Dan on bass Josh discovered the insanely brilliant Jon in a bar and swiftly delivered a kung-fu kick to the neck and after rigorous 'deprogramming', our line was finally complete.
Unfortunately in March of 2009 Dan left the band due to personal reasons and after a few weeks of searching Joe was recruited to the Shift bringing not just his bass skills but also a crazy-mad dancing ability!
