The Society of Artists For Autism (SAFA), is a registered non-profit society operating in the Province of Nova Scotia.
Purpose of SAFA:
At this time, the primary purpose of SAFA is to provide support for existing art and recreation programs for people living on the Autism Spectrum. This will not only be done through financial means, but also in creating linkages between the thriving grassroots artist communities and their local autism communities in Nova Scotia. In speaking to "the arts" SAFA's definition encompasses the visual arts, theatre, music, writing, and dance.
The fundraising mechanisms of SAFA will largely be arts-based themselves, and also work to promote the visibilty of local artists, autistic and otherwise, who may not otherwise have a venue to share their works. As an organization, SAFA will also serve as a hub for artists who are interested in working directly with members of the autism community.
Value Statement:
At SAFA we believe that people living on the Autism Spectrum should have access to arts and recreation programs which will allow them to meaningfully explore creativity and community in ways which are relative, and sensitive, to their individual special needs.
Mission Statement:
To facilitate and assist in the creation, and continuation, of future and existing arts and recreation programs for people with autism in the province of Nova Scotia.
Our Mandate is:
1. To advocate for the promotion and funding of arts and recreation programs for persons with autism
2. To assist existing agencies in providing appropriate arts and recreation programming for their clients with autism
3. To create and manage new arts and recreation programs for persons with autism
4. To conduct arts-based fundraising activities for the benefit of new and existing arts and recreation programs for persons with autism
5. To provide direct support to artists with autism and their families

How are you?
Have you by any chance listened to my songs yet?
If yes, what do you think?
It would be great if you would leave a comment on my page!
Thanks,
