    SHELTER WISH LIST:

    We appreciate donations of any supplies!

    Here are things we always use and need.

    FOR THE DOGS: Dry and canned dog food (can needed more), chewies (rawhide preffered) an treats, puppy replacement milk or formula, pedialyte, plastic and stainless steel food bowls of all sizes, dog/puppy toys, leashes and collars of all sizes (previously used is fine), Frontline or Advantage, dog shampoo and grooming supplies, outdoor dog houses and igloos (used is fine), straw or foal for the outdoor dog houses and emergency houses, dog beds, large bath towels, washcloths, small blankets and throws (used or stained is fine).

    FOR THE CATS: Dry and canned cat food (can needed more), kitten replacement milk or kitten formula, cat treats and toys, cat litter, litter boxes, small cardboard boxes to fit in the kennels, newspaper, small cat beds, bath towels and washcloths for bedding, Frontline or Advantage.

    FOR THE OFFICE/SHELTER: Bleach, Dish Soap, Paper Towels, Copy Paper, Ink cartridges, spray bleach.

ADOPTIONS:
The city of Socorro does not profit from animal adoptions. At the time of adoption, the City requires a DEPOSIT only, this deposit goes towards the spay/neuter/vaccinations of your pet. The city does not make ANY money off the animals, once you provide proof the animal has been spayed or neutered your deposit is refunded 100%.

LOCATION:
The Socorro Animal Shelter is located 1.25 miles south on New Mexico State Rd. 1 (the Frontage Road parallel to I-25), south of town, behind the UPS building and in front of the Municipal Airport. We are just a 1 hour drive south of Albuquerque, 3 hours from Santa Fe, or 2 hours from Las Cruces, NM.
