Once opon a time in the city of angels, the story began. Two girls from Scandinavia meet at a punk show in Hollywood, little did they know what was ahead of them.
"Sounds pretty good so far doesn't it?" , said the story teller, and added, but this is not a fairytale so let's speed things up here, no need for sugarcoating.Let's get things straight.
Kamilla Vanilla and Miss Jannicke met, became friends, and started to talk about starting a band.At that time Kamilla had just left her previous band HorrorPops, and after seeing Miss Jannicke play with her other band Disco Volante, they both agreed that Linus ,the drummer of Disco Volante would be the only perfect drummer for their new project.
The three got together and started to write, inspired by the sounds of new wave, post punk and everything from the grey northern Europe to sunny California and the result became Soda X, energetic, rocking,dark and honest.
Their 5 songs demo was recorded in jan/feb 08, and feat. Viva Hate's Wedge and Geoff Kresge (Tiger Army) on back up vocals.
Through friends they meet bass player Cris (Cover-ups,the Stalkings) and through her friend they meet Ace Von Johnson (Generators, US Bombs, Duane Peter's Gunfight) who joined as 2nd guitar player in August 2008.
Currently the band is writing songs and practicing so they will be ready to take over the world!
