    Sofaï, c’est tout d’abord une voix, et quelle voix. De celles sur laquelle un diamant s’est posé pour l’érailler avec classe. Mais Sofaï, c’est non seulement une voix et un physique à damner un saint, c’est aussi et surtout un incontestable talent de chanteuse et d’auteur-compositeur. Daniel Lavoie, Elliott Murphy, Slim Batteux et Al Sanders ont cosigné quelques uns des titres de ce superbe opus, preuve que non seulement Sofaï captive par sa voix mais aussi par la chaleur et la couleur de ses compositions. Et comme Sofaï a un cœur grand comme ça, pour ce second opus, elle a décidé d’associer à son nom celui des trois musiciens qui l’accompagnent depuis longtemps. Voilà pourquoi l’opus est proposé par Sofaï and the Sweet Talkers. Point de longues envolées de guitares saturées ou de nappes de claviers qui inondent les enceintes. Tout est dans le ressenti et l’émotion partagée. Sa voix éraillée vous frôle le cœur et l’âme telle une brise chaude d’été, vous embarquant dans un voyage sans embardées ni mauvaises rencontres. Les guitares acoustiques sont omniprésentes et terriblement discrètes à la fois, la rythmique aussi aérienne que la guitare électrique, et l’ensemble vous emmène où Sofaï vous propose de la suivre, sur le chemin de la qualité de chansons écrites pour être écoutées avec plaisir et délice. L’album final (sortie prévue décembre 2010) proposera deux titres cosignés avec Slim Batteux, rencontré lors de la tournée en 1ère partie de Beverly Jo Scott… une chanson cosignée avec Elliott Murphy sur laquelle le grand Elliott prête sa voix… deux chansons (dont ‘Bye Bye’) cosignées avec Daniel Lavoie… une cosignée avec Al Sanders… le tout sur des musiques de Sofaï… ainsi que quatre titres qu’elle signe dans leur intégralité… et une adaptation en bonus track...     Sofaï, is first and foremost a voice...and what a voice! She has a voice which could cut a rough diamond. But, don’t be fooled, Sofaï doesn’t just have a voice and a body for sin, above all she has an undeniable talent as a singer-songwriter. Daniel Lavoie, Elliott Murphy, Slim Batteux and Al Sanders have co-written tracks on this amazing album, proof that Sofaï voice is as captivating as the warmth and vibrant energy of her songwriting. In recognition of the three musicians who have been working for her for a long time, Sofaï decided to credit her second album to Sofaï and the Sweet Talkers. You won’t find any long saturated guitars or keyboards flooding your speakers. Everything is about feeling and shared emotion. Her sultry voice brushes past your heart like a warm summer breeze, accompanying you on a beautiful and peaceful journey. Although omnipresent, the acoustic guitars always feel subdued, the percussions are as light and airy as the electric guitar and throughout the album, you follow Sofaï wherever she wants to take you, stopping only to listen to those perfectly formed little musical gems. The album (expected to be released in December 2010) will include two tracks co-written with Slim Batteux, who she met on tour whilst supporting Beverly Jo Scott, one song co-written and sung by Elliott Murphy, two tracks (one of them being ‘Bye Bye’) co-written with Daniel Lavoie and one co-written with Al Sanders. Each song is set to Sofaï’s music as well as the four tracks she wrote herself. And let’s not forget a great cover as a bonus track. Eleven tracks which will unlock any heart!
