Rae Marie & Jackie T Denton, a
Mother and Son team, conversing in flute.
Native American flute that is.
This is our first venture into publicly presenting our creations of sound.
All was created spontaneously....
The sounds that came from spirit and flute
as we learn to converse in the universal language of music.

I have recently paired up with a fellow flute enthusiast who also happens to be a fabulous guitar player. Paul Warren has been playing the guitar "just about forever" he claims. We met at the Heart of the Cedar Flute Circle in Dallas and began playing together at the Fort Worth Flute Circle. His guitar and my flute seem to join in song effortlessly. We have been working together for a few months now and have decided to put together a few tunes to share with the rest of the world. We will begin recording soon. I have uploaded one of the tunes we are working on. Please enjoy "Signs of Things to Come" and let me know what you think about it. The flute is a lovely F cedar crafted by my son, Jackie Tom.

The long awaited CD
SIGN OF THINGS TO COME
is finally here..... Ready to share
For those who haven't yet heard this tale....
I met a fella who plays guitar quite well,
As fellow flute - a -holics, his wife decided he could come out to play
With little ol me, one bright shining day....
Off to the studio we did go....
To create songs that only spirit could know...
In true spirit of improvisation
Hear the sounds of our creation.
Sounds of the wind
truly will blend
with the well loved Yairi Guitari.
All Righty then...
come on in...
Let the Sharing begin :)

I made my first video slideshow and wanted to share it with you. The musician (Elizabeth Ann Middleton) is one I found through MySpace, and she generously let me use her music to set to my images. Visit her MySpace page here - http://www.myspace.com/pianorama - she's fantastic! :-)
