Your mission is to fly the alien spacecraft, SOLAR 12, back to the planet Imalik. The ship crash landed on Earth after the pilot died while entering the Earth atmosphere. Miraculously, the ship was not damaged based on the strength of the metallic composite structure. The recovery of the ship and pilot provided Earth with definitive proof that life existed somewhere other than Earth. Shortly after the crash Earth received a transmission from the alien race of Imalikians, of which the pilot was one. The language of the transmission was English. The Imalikians easily decipher languages and have known English since the origin of the language. The Imalikians requested the ship be returned to them along with the dead pilot, an eight-foot tall being known as Riklak. They gave instructions on how to fly SOLAR 12 into space. Once in orbit, the ship could be remote controlled by the Imalikians and brought back to Imalik. The mission would take 24 years to complete even with the advanced propulsion system. *****

You wake up in a cryogenic freeze chamber aboard a spaceship and quickly remember that you are alone. This loneliness compares to no other feeling because it is completely unique to those who have been fortunate enough to travel to space. There is beauty in this isolation because with it comes great focus; the conditions for concentration at a premium. You are free to perform the duties of your mission without interruption or interference.*****
In contrast there is also great fear. Will I have a successful mission? Will I be safe? Will I ever see my family again? These thoughts haunt you, and they are perfectly natural considering the mission at hand. You now find yourself staring at the planet Imalik. You’ve been asleep for 12 years, but it feels the same as waking up after a typical night’s rest. It is now time to deliver the space craft. You will be the ambassador for all of Earth. You will be the first personto meet alien life and will be transported by these aliens back to Earth, once againbeing cryogenically frozen during the extent of the journey. *****
