Both having begun as musicians they are able to inject a depth of knowledge and feeling that elevates their studio-based work into a rich sonic experience. Weaving influences from bossa, jazz, electronica, breakbeat and soul with the help of some fine players and singers and Richard himself providing vocal tones on Summer Love AD2231 and more subliminal warblings on Space Between. Kali Yuga features the trumpet of UK jazz legend Ian Carr, of Nucleus and Rendell / Carr Quintet fame, and who also wrote the definitive biography of Miles Davis.
