Chris Lee Estes on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Chris writes all of his music, which he say's comes "outa the blue."
Chris was born in Aberdeen, Washington, to Donald Estes and Doris Nordstrom. His musical talents come either from his father, who played trumpet for a big bond, or as Chris might tell you, he could very well be the soul partner of Black Country blues artist Sleepy John Estes. Chris was tutored his harmonica licks with the help of Phill Wiggins and Arthur Moore. He was influenced by the British Bluesmen until his high school friend Mark Weisgram turned him on to what Chris refers to as 'Real Blues', with the likes of Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Lightin' Hopkins, Robert Johnson, and Sonny Boy. Chris writes and plays from his gut. He says, "It's a feeling that comes from my emotions and personal experiences".
You can find Chris performing live at local Farmer Markets & Blues clubs in the Mid Willamette Valley area like Macleay Country Inn, Bigfoots Bar & Grill.
Chris performed on the Richard Day-Reynolds CO as part of the Blue Light Special, and you can catch him blowing his harp on occasion with many of the Valley's premier bands.
Chris has been playing the past 15 years, and is looking forward to you hearing him!

Thanks for the vid, Chris. The dark is kinda cool. Being able to hear every word said on the table is strange. You sounded great at the Pepper. Have Kirsten on drums made it cut. Sounded like a Chess records band.
I stopped by for a dose. Gee..I was the last post. I see you aren't into networking. Tis ok. I hate it too. But read my message. You are on my next album...let's have fun. See you at Boon's Nov. 29.
Thanks and welcome to the home of the Chicago Bluesy Funky side of things. Dig your sound, I was partly raised in Tupelo and Memphis and still go to the Delta on the regular.
