In 2007 the band was nominated for "Best Live Performance", and "Inspirational Band" at the Kansas City Music Awards(KCCM). And their songs "Worship You" and "Saved by Your Grace" (written by lead singer Terry Wright) won monthly awards.
Their verse and motto is Matthew 5:16; "Let your light shine before all men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father, which is in heaven". Solar Eclipse strives to complete this commission by using their talents and gifts to bring glory to God's people.
