SELF is fighting climate change and ending poverty with solar energy and wireless Internet, improving life for the two billion people who have no access to electricity.

Guiding Principles

• SELF believes that energy is a human right. We are dedicated to providing clean electricity to disadvantaged communities around the globe.
• Your donations power schools, health clinics, drinking water systems, crop irrigation, income-generating microenterprises and more.
• We believe in giving a hand up, not a handout.
• We use microfinance to help villagers pay for their own solar home systems.
• SELF is supported by caring individuals that understand the positive impact that access to sustainable solar energy can have on those in need.
• Our sustainable energy solutions have brought clean, renewable power and wireless communication to remote villages in more than 15 countries.

eyes are on Canada as it prepares to host the 2010 Winter Olympics.
This extra Attention will bring increased scrutiny and comes with the
added responsibility of setting a positive example for the world.

To host the Olympic Games should be a Honour for every Country.
But the Olympic Games should only host Countrys who respect Animal Rights and Human Rights.

The
World is watching to Canada and People all over the World are outraged
over the Seal Slaughter, they will not longer accept this Massacre.

Each
Year hundreds of thousands of Baby harp seals are slaughtered on the
Ice Fields off Canadas East Coast for their Pelts. 95% off the Seals
killed during this Hunt are just Days or Weeks old.
Baby seals stand
no chance against club-wielding trappers, and they must look on as
fellow pups are bludgeoned to death before meeting the same bloody
fate. The anguish that a mother seal feels as she watches her baby
being beaten to death just a few feet away from her is horrifying and
can be heard in her desperate cries and seen in her attempts to get to
her baby.
If you were to witness this Cruelty personaly your Heart would break.
Shockingly, the Hunt subsidized by the canadian Government!
The 2009 Seal Slaughter has ended. But we dont stop fighting untill the Seal Hunt ends forever.

Please give your Voice to the Baby Seals , they can not speak for themselve, we must speak for them.

Olomana Gardens Permaculture and Aquaponics takes viewers on an in depth tour of this certified organic demonstration farm. In this 60 minute film we learn about permaculture as practiced at Olomana Gardens in Waimanalo. Permaculture is basically about reducing waste: using everything and not throwing anything away. The main aim is to create living and sustainable systems. It is an ecologist's dream of actively conserving world life and resources. The film focuses on the synergy between animals and plants. A big feature is the aquaponics section. Aquaponics comes from aquaculture coupled with hydroponics. This type of growing sytem combines fish raising and production of organic vegetables.
