Kimberly Adkins resides in Nashville, Tennessee, Music City USA. She is an avid artist who works with oils, acrylics and water colors. She also spends time song writing and sometimes singing when they make her.
Kimberly has a strong background in Science Fiction Fantasy and collects dragons as well as studies the superstring theory.
For Kimberly, romance writing is a wonderful and appealing outlet of magic, because passion is truly real, and Fate lines up to reward the faithful who believe that love holds a power beyond our understanding and dreams can have a chance to come true.
Who I'd like to meet: A vampire...Duran Duran and all of their fans...People who want to search for Atlantis with me...Folks who love to read any kind of genre...and someone who can do magic :)
Kimberly. Thanks for the check-in. always a pleasure to hear from you. My twilight spent at the doctor's -- nothing too serious (well, except for high blood pressure -- must be the blood I'm drinking -- damn a lot of American's are in bad health!). --Anyway, hugs, and neck-bites, and maybe a bit of slurping on the side. --Vlad.
Like I said- Technicalities! Congratulations on winning the inaugural edition of- What the hell do I call this game anyway? Thanks for playing and check back in for the next one. C'ya
Kimberly. --Your wish has come true. You've finally met a vampyre. --And don’t you look good enough to eat! -- And not only a fellow writer, but a singer as well. And an painter, as well. Love painters. Who knows, maybe when my rich uncle dies and/or the U.S. economy crawls on out of the toilet into which it has presently been flushed, I'll be able to commission one of your works for my ARTISTS "DO" WILLIAM MALTESE (another persona of mine) collection. Hell, maybe, even have you do, as some artists now are, "the author as Vlad the vampyre". —In the meantime, this is just a short note, from the olde vampyre himself, in thanks for welcoming FAMILY DRAQUAL into your life. --Hugs (if yyou dare get that close). –Vlad
Me too! I think that we may be planning a trip up there in october anyways. A friend of mine is getting married and they live in Indiana bout 2 hours out of Nashvile. SO We will see!!
Thank you! It is. Michael Brack is a great talent, he captured the tone & feel I was going for perfectly - and that was before I'd ever gone looking for a cover artist.
Here's what people are saying about my novella, Monkey Love:
"John Paul Allen delivers well-drawn characters and emotional dynamite in this tale of dark suspense" - Scott Nicholson, author of They Hunger.
"One sadistic piece of work by one of the most talented new voices in dark fiction." - Karen Koehler, author of the Slayer series.
"Disturbing and intense, this story is a one-sit read that races, carrying you along to grim, uncharted terrain." - Lee Thomas, Bram Stoker Award-Winning author of Stained, Parish Damned and The Dust of Wonderland.
"From the first page, Monkey Love draws you into a surreal world that teeters on a disturbing balance of madness, eroticism, and obsession." David Niall Wilson, author of Deep Blue and Ancient Eyes.
"It's a wild ride, and I loved it from first page to last." - John R. Little, author of The Memory Tree and Placeholders.
"Exquisitely well-written, more than slightly twisted and compelling erotica for all horror readers." T.M. Wright, author of the forthcoming Bone Soup and Blue Canoe.
"Monkey Love is my first read by John Paul Allen and I can promise it won't be the last. Touching, peverse, oddly poignant and riddled with interesting questions about the nature of love and obsession, I can't recommend it enough. Monkey Love is the sort of tale that pushes the boundaries of comfortable and makes us question our own morals." - James A. Moore, author of Deeper and Blood Red.
