The SolcetFre* Project(pronounced Soul Set Free*) is an endeavor to present excellent music to the world! SolcetFre's motto is to simply, 'Fel Fre.' Come to a SolcetFre performance and feel free to bob ya head, snap ya fingers, tap ya feet, get ya two step on, or just sit back and vibe. No matter what, "We Gonna Set Ya Sol Free, through musicality, creativity, and expression!" SolcetFre will relax your mind with the calmness of soul, tantalize your musical palatte with the imagery of jazz, awaken your musical tastebuds with the spicyness of Latin and salsa, scrunch up your face with the pungence of funk, , and push beyond the boundaries of your musical imagination through creative, expressive, original songs. The SolcetFre Project has been together since March 2006, and consists of 4 core members: William “Trice,” Letitia “Boogie” Bowler; Vanessa “Nesssa Nu” Ferguson; and Jeremy Johnson. The instrumentation usually consists of keys, bass, drums, lead guitar, and horns. SolcetFre has performed at several notable venues, including; performing the Star Spangled Banner at the Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball game, July 4th 2007; performing at the Greensboro Fun 4th celebration, on the 98.7 Simon stage (2007), and Fun 4th on the 90.1 stage in (2006); and at the African Heritage Festival in Harrisburg, PA, in June 2006. The SolcetFre Project performed weekly at Churchills On Elm, a popular upscale bar in Greensboro, NC, from October 2006 until May 2007, when the group decided to take some time to focus on their current CD release. SolcetFre performs regularly at weddings, private parties, and corporate events. You can catch them at various venues in the Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, and Charlotte areas, as well as throughout the eastern seaboard.
