    First forming in early 2008, Soletta (formerly The Skylife) was quick to write and record their first EP “The Skylife” in just a couple months before hitting the road hard playing smaller venues up and down the east coast and sold out hometown shows in Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE alongside bands like Valencia, Bayside, Ludo, This Providence, Sing it Loud, The Dangerous Summer and Good Old War. In the midst of a small legal dispute over the name, The Skylife, they wrote and recorded their newest release “The Road Back Home” with Producer Paul Leavitt in Baltimore, MD. Before they left the city they had changed their name and recorded what many regard as the best and most mature songs they’ve written to date. Set for release on August 17th the CD also features guest vocals by Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday, The Color Fred, Breaking Pangea) from the band Terrible Things. After two full US tours with The Dangerous Summer, Sherwood, Into over it, and a few other dates with The Scene Aesthetic, Soletta is moving onto a new year of more touring and bringing their music to as many as they can.

Bio

Soletta, formerly known as 'The Skylife', came together in the summer of 2008, releasing their first EP titled, 'The Skylife'. After a year of building a local following the band went back into the studio with Paul Leavitt and recorded their second EP 'The Road Back Home'. Featuring guest vocals by Fred Mascherino, the band went out on a West Coast/Mid West Tour with Sherwood(myspace records) & The Dangerous Summer (hopeless records) to support the album. Also touring with Into it. Over it (no Sleep records), City Lights, & Bright and Early.

The band has spent the winter writing, and preparing for a few more national tours. Make sure to stay up to date and catch them in a city our town near you.
