Solid Earth is a collective of artists, musicians, technicians and creative media types who have come together on a voluntary basis to organise a series of events to raise money for various causes, the first of which is the crisis in Darfur, western Sudan.
We are working with a vivid collection of performers, DJs, speakers, poets and bands across Manchester - some famous, some not - but who are all willing to donate their time and talent to create quality, eclectic events and help raise cash for people in dire need. Through these events, we hope to forge a strong union between different groups in the community and a feeling of solidarity in raising money for these important causes. Proceeds from Solid Earths' events go to Medicins Sans Frontires (MSF).
MSF is an international humanitarian aid organisation that provides emergency medical assistance to populations in danger. It works in more than 18 countries and has been active in Darfur since December 2003. MSF now has more than 90 international volunteers and some 2,000 Sudanese staff providing medical and nutritional care to the refugees who have fled there. Additional MSF teams provide assistance to Sudanese who have sought refuge in Chad.

Yo Solid Earthasaurus. I just found out that we're related...and as a special family only present we've made a new song for you called "End of Days" (start doing backflips now). It's an epic instrumental opus to the moment when our ancient Dino relatives saw a large fiery object plummeting towards them. Please come to our page, give it a listen and let us know if it makes you feel like something catastrophic is gonna happen. If the song upsets you too much we will be holding several s support groups (read: comcerts) in the near future. Check our page for locations, dates and times.
Just stopping by to say hi and give you some news. The new album 'Welcome To Murraysville' from Phil Murray and the Boys From Bury is now available worldwide from CD Baby and directly from the merchandise page of the official website. You can also get the album from Apple iTunes, MSN Music, Rhapsody, Napster, Amazon and many more.
What's Good Solid Earth ? You are receiving this because you left Bossasaurus a comment in the last 4 months saying something nice(we are working on getting back to people on an individual basis...sorry this isn't it). We were flattered by your comments and wanted to invite you back to our page to listen to our new music, download our 16 minute Mega-Mix, and check out our new video. If this message annoys you in anyway we apologize and invite you to write us angry messages. Thanks for reading...we hope you enjoy. -Bossasaurus
