The band begins in 1996, aas a four piece called "Lycanthropy", but soon was changed to SOLITUDE. Was formed by Tadeo Mansilla, David Frayre, Farid Bautista and Antonio Rivera, and in a short time they found Arael Delgado, who switch the place of farid in the guitar and farid plays the bass guitar.
Then, the oportunity comes for record their first demo tape that was called "Crying in false reallity" in 1998, and this demo gives the band some recognition on the underground scene with zine reviews and radio plays around the country as well the oportunity to play in more cities, including Morelia where the band signed their first contract with the label Kronnos Recs.
The band recorded their First album "The glorious shine of life" in 2000 in Mexico city under this contract, and they were getting stronger with already 4 years of existence. More shows comes due the release of the album, and great reviews on magazines, getting a name in the scene and being one of the most important Melodic Death Metal bands in Mexico.
Solitude has played with great Metal Bands like Dark Tranquillity, Paul dianno, Rata blanca, Decapitated, Asesino and was part of the bill on the Monterrey Metal Fest (Biggest Metal Festival in Latín América) that included bands like Blind Guardian, U.d.o., Cathedral, Obituary, Sadus, Deicide, Edguy, Joe stump and many more.
At this time, The band are promoting their latest album called "Introjection" that was released by the Mexican label Asenath Records in 2006, the album was recorded in La Nave Studios in Monterrey, and was Mastered in Imperial Mastering studios by Colin Davis (Vile) in California, who has worked with Deeds Of flesh, Skinlab, Hate eternal and more.
"Introjection" is now considered one of the most important releases in the Mexican Death Metal scene and is getting great reviews in magazines including Rock Metal (mexican equivalent to Metal Maniacs) that gives the album a 10/10 Score.
The band is now stronger than ever with the 5 original members after almost 11 years.
