You could compare him to a rose that grew from concrete not soiled with minerals and water but pottered by poverty and pain. A young boy, who was less fortunate, tormented and surrounded by drugs, violence and gang alliances. But his roots were deeply planted; found a crack in the ground and sprouted out of it. Some how some way stayed away from the trends strayed away from his friends and became a man of his own. Impelled and driven to over come all opposition. So a birth of an artist first, of his kind. A new breed full of ambition and desire. A lyricist with a point to prove determined to speak truth through his music from the very depth of his soul. One who paints you a picture with his words so its not just art it’s more like dramatic literature in rhythm put to a melody. Written to open not just the ears of his listeners but the hearts as well, his music is geared to encourage, to inspire and spark the same flame in the audience that's burning inside of him. He's known as Sol J and is inspired by the struggle he faces daily and motivated by the pain he has endured. Journey along with him in his debut album entitled "Driven" as he takes you through different experiences and situations in his life. Hear the passion in his tone. Feel the diversity of his euphony, live the serenity he speaks. An artist who seeks the quality of his music not the quantity of the dollar it produces. All and all his music is what his feelings sound like, its innovating and influential. He calls it Food 4 Ur Soul.
