I'm on a journey; I put my gentle footprints in my Scandinavian Narnia, among shy sunshades and unknown city corners. This is a small window where I invite you to follow my travel through life, music, writings, thoughts and dreams. My aim is to make fragile and authentic music, filled with shifting landscapes and honest lyrics, but most of all this is a monologue between me and myself, a mirror showing past and future.

Biography
About the girl:
Beyond the name Sol Skugga (Sun Shadow) acts a young woman with many passions. Being a classically schooled singer, songwriter, producer and artdirector, she has woven a musical universe around herself - where rock, piano pop, electronica and celtic string arrangements permeates the soundscapes as well as her graphic image.
The band:
Sol Skugga is not really a band, it is a female songwriter and producer with a heavy studio-addict and a taste for collaborations with a few magicians. In her steady team you find the musician Staffan Österlind - known as the guitarist from Paul Di Anno (ex Iron Maiden), and Thomas Von Wachenfeldt - a classical Swedish fiddler, also Stefan Hallgren, who is running the studio Happy Minds together with her.
Her tunes:
The music oscillates between brittle and dramatic and is often stained by a soft melancholy, and exposing, poetic lyrics. Think about early fog, misty lakes, dramatic mountains, underground clubs, crowded subways, empty streets or your latest sexual experience, and you will find the echo of it in her music.
I paint musical landscapes with lust, passion, sorrow and love and invite you to a Garden where you will find only truth.

Competitions and charts:
Sol Skugga..s productions are frequently played on various independent radio stations and podcasts such as; last.fm, the U.S. satellite radio Channel 43, and Somojo.net; where she has been in the top 20 chart ever since December 08.
In February 2009 she participated in a myspace competition, where her fans uploaded and tagged + 6600 pics of her. This resulted in her winning an one week promotion on the site for best myspace-site and best fan-support.
Sol Skugga also attended the Tele2 and Warner contest for un-signed artists earlier 2008 and ended up as number 21 out of about 800 participating contributions. She was also appointed to one of the year 2008s best new releases, by staff at somojo.net. Right now she is exclusively picked as a cover-girl for Somojomagazine Okt-09.
Partners in crime:
Sol Skugga has been signed to the American promotion company Rainmaker Public Relations roster since spring 2008, as well as the record label Cauldron Soundwerx in the eastern U.S. and they are now preparing a small U.S. tour for her in early 2010. She is also working closely with Happy Minds/Black cat songs/Accented (SWE), who handle well established artists like “Kingen” in Sweden.
Finally:
Sol has been a character on Internet since the late 90s and most recently in August 2008 she was interviewed by swedish radio P3 for her membership on the video blog Bambuser; one of the places online where she is sharing her life, thoughts and music. She has a bachelor’s degree in media and interaction design from Lunds University and is interested in the creation of new digital solutions in addition to her music career.

Nej det är jag inte, hade ett dåligt gammalt foto på en insekt som jag satte igång att redigera bara. Flera av bilderna jag gjorde på dig sist består av misslyckade foton där det fanns delar som gick att använda på olika sätt. Tackar, tycker också dom blev rätt bra :) Vad man kan göra med lite lingonsylt, rapsolja o blodpudding + ett redigeringsprogram :)
