Bio:

Stranger, lover, friend or passenger.

I'm on a journey; I put my gentle footprints in my Scandinavian Narnia, among shy sunshades and unknown city corners. This is a small window where I invite you to follow my travel through life, music, writings, thoughts and dreams. My aim is to make fragile and authentic music, filled with shifting landscapes and honest lyrics, but most of all this is a monologue between me and myself, a mirror showing past and future.

In case you wondered:

I do no drugs.
I always walk in my sleep.
I do not understand human-beings in general. Therefor I pay attention.
I use software plug-ins to control the noise inside.
Brittle or frail. Tender or dramatic. Ugly or pretty.
I brush my teeth before singing. (Not that it helps.)
I use music instead of telepathy.

(If you try to put me in a corner and analyze my style, you are probably not the receiver.)

I'm not heavy-metal, pop, electronica or folk. I have no high grades in music-training, but sleeping disorders and patient walls ;)
I never meant to fit a genre.
I never meant to please the taste of your tongue.
I sing because it makes me calm.
I compose because I can not help myself.

I love something or someone everyday.

Sol Skugga aka Sun Shadow is not really a band, it is only the girl captured in my mirror. Sometimes she writes on her long lived book, paint figures from dreams or crack programming-problems; often she paints musical landscapes. I see myself as a (blessed) studio-addict with a taste for collaborations with a few magicians (see list to the right).

Yes. I completely adore these guys, what they do, and who they let me be. (I am also a bit obsessed with their feet.)

My music is often stained by a soft melancholy. Therefor I am not.

Discography:

Cd’s been frequently compared to extremely disperse bands, and styles. I came out kinda ambiance/goth (2007) - wondered through some folk-lore prog electro (2008) to indie pop-rock (2009). I like crossovers, and I am easily bored.
