Hailing from Vancouver, Soma City Ward is a Hard Rock foursome poised to bring new flavor to the Canadian rock scene.

Playing music for the everyday working man, Soma City Ward is not your average Hard Rock band. With heavy guitars and booming percussion, the melodic male driven vocals add depth and power to the message of the songs. Formed out of the need to break free from a very dark period of his life Alley Artico named the band Soma City Ward as a representation of the catatonic state music was heading in and he was living in. As the catharsis happened the lyrics were written and the riffs were found providing a classic guitar foundation for Cam Dixon on vocals to explore. SCW has grown to include Zedd on the bass, with Skinny 2 Sticks on the drums. Drawing Inspiration from Hendrix to Metallica, Soma City Ward’s music has an explosive rock core. And now the quartet in unity brings much-needed freshness to an overtly imitated overexposed Rock scene.

Bodog Music label-heads tracked the local buzz from Soma City Ward and immediately signed them to a deal in 2006. With a track record of breaking Canadian bands into the global market SCW knew they found a home with Bodog Music. The band has spent countless hours in the studio working on their debut cd entitled “The Bed I Made”. This disc is fully loaded with blue-collar rock anthems, and aggressive guitar stomping tracks. Soma City Ward maintain the balance between mosh worthy and radio friendly. Prepare for their 2007 Canadian release.
