How? Well sit down Martha we gotta a story to tell: Soma Mestizo is 21st century music made by elements seen, felt and heard from all centuries proceeding.
Soma Mestizo brings an artistic precision to the medium of music. The poetry and prose of the lyrics melds with the sensual guitar, percussion and bass team up mimicking pulsating blood of the unseen but felt soul.
Soma Mestizo means "a body of mixtures" and the name, in the case of Soma Mestizo, is the thing: Indigenous meets technology, sex meets holiness, love meets truth. Christiane D. explains, the process is as complex as the arrangements and as organic as the experience: “Any song, sound, chord, idea needs to have been through the blender of the myriad-flipped-oblique-spinning-twisted-backwards turned inside out revolution.”

The show features live music, dynamic video, 3 stories of scaffolding, a 40' radio telescope, cherry pickers, scissor lifts and a giant robot. Astro-rama was filmed over 2 chilly nights in October 2008 at Pittsburgh's Schenley Plaza.

Come celebrate Indiana County with a new installment in our ‘Hometown Series’, a show that has been called “noisy, colorful, funny, outrageous” by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and “a quirky, playful, music- and image-driven piece of performance art “ by the Tribune Review.
