About me:
SOMASOMASCENE is an art/music/film webzine established in October 2004 by Lady Himalaya. The ethos behind the magazine is the use of eloquent, beautiful language to describe the current aesthetics we are being exposed to. We have a small, dedicated international team of writers/photographers/designers and we wish to document our environment as and when it happens and where and who creates it.
We appreciate that all artists have torn open their art for the rest of us to delve in, question and rape. We aim to protect and preserve their art and thus do not intend to berate them or their work unnecessarily. We have no care for modern journalism. We have merely to do with literature.
We also hold regular SSS multimedia exhibitions through multimedia club night DECASIA- of featured artists as it is often difficult for new artists, musicians and designers to find suitable and willing venues to exhibit their work. Our priority is getting art to the artists.
We're aimed at artists with a passion who wish to read about their other talented contemporaries.
Read on if you wish and if you don't wish, then don't read.
But remember, words are your friends for life.
They will talk to you even if no one else does.

It’s been far too long since I last said hello and so much has happened I thought it about time we did.
We’ve changed a lot, now we are an “UltraModern, post-electro rock, post-nu rave behemoth where Muse and Mansun meet a Massive Attack with Duran Duran pop sensibilities, louder guitars, and a stunning female front person/guitar virtuoso”, or so we have been told.

Room 3: The Weird Cafe Last time we took over the star and shadow, the foyer was lit only by a strobe and everyone had a headache. This time it will be similarly dark and strange, with flashing light displays, the buffet of sweets and cakes, neon tables, candles, a giant pyramid of caster sugar boxes, chandeliers, and much more!
