I am Sombre Dreams Photography, aka Jeanette Ardley. I am 21 in October and will have been persuing photography for about 5 years full-term.
I specialise in Gothic Fairytale/romantic. I also like to delve into the realms of mother nature.
I take photos of myself a lot because I don't have access to models all the time, sometimes I get very inspired when I am sitting in on my own.
I was born in Hampshire, England and at the age of 2 moved with my parents to the Highlands of Scotland where I lived for about 14 years. I do actually have a highland accent as apposed to an English accent but apparantly that has slowly faded over the years after having moved back to England. I've been living in england for 4 years now. I get incredibly homesick for Scotland, I miss the mountains and even the rain.
I don't have any qaulifications in photography, I am fully self taught and proud of it.
99% of my model shoots are shot on location, I adore the elemants and balance between nature and model. Each location is unique to the specific shoot I do with that particular model.
I currently work with a Canon EOS 400D/rebel XTi. And have a filter lens for macro work.

As part dedication to animals and the world around me I give half my profits from prints of my photography to the WWF. It makes me feel better knowing that I am giving something to a world that has given so much to me and my ancestors before me. So I'd ask kindly that you please don't disrespect my wishes for that particular aspect.
At the moment I don't have the spare funds to go traveling to photograph people. So if you would like me to photograph you then you will have to either travel to Bath or preferrably Marlborough, or live in the area. Or alternatively pay for my travel costs (this doesn't apply if you are doing a paid shoot). Sorry! Prices for shoots are really cheap!
I will do free shoots, but you must message me to talk about it. I won't do free shoots for everyone so please respect that. I make a living off of my photography.
