Thanks for your enthusiastic comments concerning my last sonic excursion. There's a new one now called 'All The Freaks Are Dead'. Not so anthemic, more Patrick Hamilton meets Maggot Brain. Or something. I've been off admiring magnolia blossom in Greenwich Village. I must invite myself round for tea on the terrace.
If I had a shed I'd make me a time machine and go back to that Jesse Garon and The Desperadoes, The Siddeleys and This Poison! gig. My, what a lineup! I could look at old pop flyers and posters for the rest of my days so thanks for putting it up on the page :)
hello ally convenience scored its 2000th play! to celebrate we've added three new songs to the player. you might have heard one or two of them before... keep the flag flying! all the best the BOB myspace site
Body poopin'? Is that some scat variant of body poppin'? Anyhoo, sorry if my syncopated beats have resulted in lumbar damage. 'Grace' available on a 5 track EP from the Apple Crumble Record Store in Tokyo at the end of this week. Ta very much for lovely Ms. Ross & the gals card. Would have sent one (honest) but appear to have lost your address. Sherry soon yes?
winning? eh? oh yeah, we've beaten derby and bolton, and grabbed a draw against sunderland and liverpool.
'tis a point a game at the moment, so if we can keep that up, 40 by may should get us that 17th place, and top spot in the 'infamous' mini-league that gary, alan, lawro, and lee have plonked us in!
hope you are doing well? will check out them new tracks over on sombrero page!
A glam stomp,eh? I like to think that gold lame and knee-length platform boots were somehow involved. Delighted that the new song has had such a dramatic effect - just mind your back now!
For anyone other than Ally reading this, come on over to my place and listen to "Hearts Like Butterflies" - it's got some loud bits and some not so loud bits.
Just bought on eBay the Reserve 12" for 40 pounds. Now that's what I call a bargain? Thought I had to fight with japanese collectors making last minute bids but no C86 fan emerged this time... (saw another copy last year on eBay sold for 100+ pounds). Had to share my joy with you! Full Sombrero catalogue now available in Faenza, Italy.
I sure love a good model village. I tried to find a pic of the Blackpool one but could only find one of the entrance which was a bit underwhelming - looked a bit like an munitions factory - but apparently it's 'a magical day out for all the family'. Hope it was. I'm going to one in Polperro next month - expect a full and brutally frank review.

Hello!
Thanks for the add and for the comment. Your page is great but how... how can I put my hands on a copy of Sombrero four?? Being a BOB fan in Italy was very difficult in the 80s (without the internet), but I do have all their Sombrero releases. Only the Reserve one seems impossible to find... Please help!
