>> i think we always considered ourselves as more a confluence of abstract ideas than 'a band'. bands were for earnest boys - and we certainly weren't *that*.

a couple of people have asked so i should point out here that the rosaries no longer exist. we were (reasonably) active in the great 2nd wave indie boom of 1988-1992 where we made a few demo tapes, played a gig in a house, had a couple of songs released on fanzine tape compilations, a sarah records single and a sunday records compilation album track. and that was it (i think).
this page exists purely as a historical document of the rosaries at that time, because some friends suggested i do it.
essentially the rosaries fought in the great indie wars so that young people today could freely enjoy the music of the view and the klaxons...
...jesus christ, what was the point!!
Thank you for accepting our request. We saw you on the Sarah Records page and as soon as we heard the songs we immediately fell in love with them. We only wish you had released more songs as they are absolutely beautiful.
Hi & thanks for the add! Lets go Picnic, best! plexx
Picnic, new album! Portia Records, Out now! (US & CA, delivery worldwide) buy Molécula Records, Out now (México) buy Universal Records, Out October 2008 (Philippines) ******************************************** Buenos Aires born, Barcelona resident and graphic artist Sebastian Litmanovich is Cineplexx.
With the help of friends Duglas Stewart (BMX Bandits), Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub), Federico Aubele and Jad Fair, Cineplexx presents Picnic, a gorgeous Spanish-language record of beautiful harmonies and lush instrumentation similar to Belle & Sebastian a la The Boy with the Arab Strap, the swaying rhythms of Gilberto Gil and tender 60s rock reminiscent of Love and the Zombies.
Picnic is a rare treat of a perfect pop record with revelatory songs underneath the album's fuzzy, echoed wash.
