Welcome to the world of Morrison Boomer. We(2) , 23 & 21 years old, are a rock/ dread folk/ acoustic band out of Minneapolis. We dont really fit into a genre. We cant really compare ourselves to any other band so you will have to listen for your selves. Our music consists of mostly acoustic guitar and two part harmony. Occasionally we will throw in some bass and djembe. There are ideas to add a drummer and bassist to the team but its just an idea right now. The music is all written originally on acoustic guitar and then it is filled in with the other instruments. It will continue to get more complex as we play. We started the band in 2005 mostly because our love for music but also because we are sick of so much of the garbage out there right now. We believe that music, as in art, is a form of person expression and we want to bring that back. Each song we write is different from the last. Each has its own story. We can not stand songs written with superficial emotion or that focus on vanity. We put a piece of our selves into every note. We love playing music. Our lives would be completely different without it. Creating music is our way of expressing ourselves and therefore leaving our footprint on the earth. Currently we are unsigned and we are playing every show we can get our hands on. We just love to play.
