Someday Static emerged after a period of transition with members and musical direction. In 2008, guitarist Artem Chernogod and vocalist Malin Bray renamed the band "Someday Static," referring to the universal desire to find calm and contentment in life. After adding Brian McFadden on drums, Jino Arielly on bass, and Stefanie Eichmann on keyboard, the five-piece powerhouse began cranking out music with soulful lyrics and progressive melodies.
In contrast to the emotive tone of their music, Someday Static boasts an eclectic blend of personalities. When the band isn’t goofing off for another YouTube video or dreaming up new songs, they’re performing live at venues in New York and along the East Coast. Their dramatic stage presence captivates audiences at each show. In 2009, they opened for Boys Like Girls, The Veronicas and Gym Class Heroes at the mtvU Sunblock Music Festival.
Someday Static has released their demo. The self-titled CD features three tracks, as well as the music video for the song "Wake Up." These three songs were recorded at Tainted Blue Studios, formerly the Penthouse of Quad Studios at Times Square in New York City. At this legendary facility, artists such as Madonna, U2 and Mariah Carey have produced their music.
Watch for the fierce fivesome as they continue to enliven listeners and charge through the music industry.
Someday Static is a proud supporter of animal rights.
