About me: Tired of dancing barefoot in the mud with hundreds of other concert goers loving every second of a thirty minute jam?
Yeah, me either.
That’s why every installment of Some Kind of Jam is dedicated to giving you a wide variety of the jam culture and the eclectic sounds it has to offer varying from downhome funkgrass to sock-rocking guitar solos and nearly everything in between. With regular interviews and in studio performances, it's everything you need to get Thursday night started!
Airs Thursdays at 5pm on 89.1fm.

Who I'd like to meet: Here in Some Kind of Jam land the main goal has been (and shall remain) to get new music to fans who don't want to hear the same predictably stale "music" they can hear on any commercial radio station in any city, to give hardworking artists a chance to be heard by a national audience and to expand the perception of jam music.
It is with that mantra in mind that a Featured Artist blog began with Some Kind of Jam's 100th show.
Along with the weekly playlist updates and show notices, you will now be given a more in depth look at the artists and albums that make Some Kind of Jam possible. The goal of these blogs will be to introduce you, the listener, to bands you may not have heard of, discuss the finer points of the albums getting airplay on the show, and create a general discussion about all things musical.
thank you so much for your friendship and encouragement! I really appreciate you!
hope you are having a good day!
I want to invite you to sign up for my email list at jaetchison.com. you'll get a free download of one of the new songs off my album, "Now Is The Time"--of which we are making a music video--and it will make it easier for me to let you know new stuff that comes up and when I'm playing a show near you!
my record label tells me the free download offer is winding to a close soon, so I am hoping my friends will grab it today. :D
