Much love to all of you (including Mike) who played any of these shows and influenced a great many of people.
I'm glad that I got to most of your shows, its hard to think of never being there for you again Forrest and Matt... you are written in much of my own music.
dear somerset, I completely agree with what daybreak has wonderfully put to words. You guys are/were a great band comprised of great humans. I will miss you guys, but your music will live on through my iPod. When I have kids, I will force them to listen to it until they enjoy it as throughly as I do. Maybe sometime in the future a reunion show/make up for the cancelled one will take place. Good Luck in everything and keep us fans posted about future musical endeavors you might be pursuing.
when we heard you were changing plans for the band, our hearts were broken. for the past six years or so your music has pulled up the standards for practical, friendly thinking and overall musicianship. you made us think while we listened to Somerset and also smile- you are all great gentlemen. the timing for your band was also noteworthy. you all came from previous successful projects and combined to make a brand new sound. there is no denial that we are all products of wordly influence and all art before us. for the bands of younger and older generations, you have shown us all a certain anthropology of music. Somerset, you fucking rock and will be sincerey missed. your records will remain in the collection years to come. thank you, and best of luck to the Future.
Can't wait for the show! Fond memories of seeing you from intimate settings like Taco Toro's and the Orpheum in Madison to the Quest and packed Triple Rock shows . . . sniffle. P.S. You should play "The Victim," it is totes awesome.
Hey. I am going to try and make it to your farewell show. I haven't gone to any yet and I live in MN. There's no excuse for me, so I'm gonna be there for the end. You guys rock.
Damn!!! I remember your first show at The Fireball Cafe like it was yesterday...or like 5+ years ago...shit that's been a while. I hope your last show is as exciting if not more exciting than the first time I saw you guys. Good luck in your respective futures and keep on rockin' fo rlz!!!!
a lot of great memories include you guys & your shows. i was afraid you were already done so i'm really stoked that theres a farewell show :] i'll miss you guys!
