Something About Soul 的自我介紹

關於我：
We are a newly established group of artists in Augusta, Georgia who strive to create a community where we can share ideas, exhibit our work, and ultimately gain recognition as we develop a more creative atmosphere in Augusta. Our First exhibition is in it's early developmental stages and will be held during the week of May 24-29, 2006 during Augusta's first ever James Brown festival. The name of the exhibition will be "SOMETHING ABOUT SOUL" and will showcase work by artists based on this common theme. The idea is to leave this exhibition completely open with out a juroring process to show all of the art Augusta has to offer. You will have Professors, Alumni, and Students of Augusta State Universtiy's art department as well as other local artists who work in all media to show together underneath one roof bringing our entire art community together to raise money and awareness for the arts in Augusta.

Feroshus Sizzle	2007/3/10 07:28 All Girls are straight up lying when they say that size does not matter, I got proof. Heads up here for you guys, my best friend Pete has been getting all the girls at school and work after he has not had a girlfriend in the past 2 years. I asked him if he is drugging them or whatever so he told me his little secret. Mbassfotos	2006/5/23 09:54 Alright Folks, so the opening is This Thursday May 25th at 7:00pm...The show is finally hanging and looks incredible. We actually filled that enormous space, all 10, 000sq. feet of it!!.Thank you to all of the artists who submitted work, and a big thank you to all of the folks that are responsible for making this show a reality. Shishir Chokshi, Tara McRae, Ashley Patterson, Troy Cambell, David Kernaghan, and Jay Jacobs among others have been busting their asses the past few weeks getting the venue ready and hanging the show. Over the past couple of months they have spent endless hours working on this show to insure that this event is going to be something to remember and "Something About Soul" would not be possible if not for them. Those of you who have work in the show be sure to thank these dedicated folks for all of the time and energy they have put into the development of this celebration for the arts. A little reminder: the tickets for the opening are $10.oo in advance and $15.00 at the door. All of the artists who have work in the exhibtion will not be charged to get in. The money from the ticket sales is to help cover all of the expenses for putting on the show. The tickets include two drink passes for the bar which will be serving wine, beer and other cold refreshments, There will be all kinds of entertainment going on from D.J's spinning records to dance troops, to Gospel Choirs, and around 150 pieces of art to admire. So tell everyone ya know!!!!!! For those of you who cant make it Thursday, The show will be open and free to the public Friday- Sunday ( open hours for the weekend will be available soon) The drawing for the artwork that we are raffling off will be held Friday night.You can still purchase tickets for the Opening and for the art raffle at Frame Works downtown or at Chareston Street and Surrey Tavern in Surrey Center. tara	2006/1/31 16:59 I just want to thank everyone who made it to our meeting last night!! It was great to see so many people, hopefully by the next meeting we'll double the number. Please, please let us know your thoughts on our project! We are open to all suggestions. And remember to tell anyone you think might be interested in participating.
Mbassfotos	2006/1/29 05:26 We will have our 1st public meeting Monday, Jan 30th @ 8:00pm down at the JB Whites building on Broad St. ( same block as Soul Bar) to discuss the upcoming group art exhibition, Something About Soul, and to hand out submission forms. There is going to be many aspects involved in executing this project and we are going to need all of the help that we can get. This event is intended to bring the communtiy together to celebrate the arts. If you or anyone you know has something to contribute, be it resources, man hours, or even ideas of how to make this event even better please let us know thanks, see ya Monday

Our ultimate goal is to create a community of artists that share ideas and exhibit work together to raise awareness of the arts and for the development of the professional artist.
Mbassfotos	2006/1/24 04:38 Alright folks, Tonight we met down at the JB Whites building where the event will take place. What an amazing venue, but we do have our work cut out for us. We are planning a big meeting next Monday 1/30/06 at the Whites building to discuss this event and what our Mission is...I will post specifics with in the next few days.(Tara let me know if Turner is ok with it).
