We are a 4 piece band from Hertfordshire, UK. Maverick (Guitar and Vocals) and $P!K£ (Drums) met through ex girl friends funnily enough, after learning that they both shared the same musical interests, and consequently decided to have a few jam sessions, which when pared with Neo (Bass and Backing Vocals), formed the basis of Something Different, a name suggested by a friend at the time.
After their first show, Batchworth Soundpit, SD decided to bring in a rhythm guitarist, doing so in the form of Gabbo (Rhythm Guitar), to further develop the tone and enhance the driving force behind Something Different.
Something Different have a diverse and indeed wide range of influences, from PinkFloyd to Metallica to Muse, Something Different fuse energy, attitude and power. After 2 months of being a band, Something Different have written their first album "Burn From Within", from which the lyrics are posted on this site.
Something Different have to date played 1 Live show at the Batchworth SoundPit BOTB, in Rickmansworth, Herts. A member of one of the other bands who played on the night noted...
