Something Profound is a rock band from central Jersey. We don't like to characterize the type of music we play, because good music, is simply that. Take a listen and you be the judge. Founding members Josh Pross and Danny Toth go back to highschool, where they first became friends in late in 1998. Danny played in a few attempts at bands through the HS years and Josh along with Orlando Herrera played in the HS bands for their entire tenure. Soon after HS, all three drifted to start their careers. Danny and Josh met up again after the death of a mutual friend in 2004, that made them both have a broader view of things. Both were heavily influenced from music at the time, and decided to stop procrastinating and take a real shot at a band. They started writing their first piece, "You Should Know" taking influence off both styles of music that had influenced them. Soon after they contacted Orlando who had just finished his term in the armed forces, and was all for the idea of a band. Now, with three members they started writing, and decided they needed one more member to be complete. Over the next 2 years, Something Profound went through numerous musicians. Finally, in March 2006 they recruited Dustin Baker(Sayreville NJ) formally of On Sidewalks, now disolved, who finished the quartet w/ lead vocals and bass playing. Over the following months the band worked relentlessly, bringing a unique sound while being relevant in the rock community. Toward the end of 2006, SP was emersed in all aspects of their music. After long thought and consideration, the band mutually decided that it was time for Orlando and Something Profound to go their seperate ways. Orlando Herrara left on a high note, and continues to pursue his professional career and musical projects. SP soon recruited a new drummer, Pedro Morais (South River NJ). Dustin knew him from college, and after several auditions, filled the slot. Morais has been drumming for years, his unique style meshes and compliments SP's music, and brings their sound to a new level. The band continues to work tirelessly everyday. Be sure to watch for new venues, merchandise, and SP's debut album coming out in 2007, "For the Greater Good."

I'll see you guys on the 28th and I will see if I can get the rest of my boys out to see you on July 19th..as far as Gene believe me when I tell you he is down with everything we have planned and wants to put you on the MNN Tv show..we have our footage on DVD.when I come down this weekend I will have it with me so you get an idea of what the show is about..Just please keep in mind that Gene has a very sick mother and has been back and forth to Boston..We will set up a time with him but right now that is up to Gene and when he can make the time.Also my wife saw your flier/poster and said it was really hot..Keep up your focus and We will be in touch
