S3 is a piano-based alternative rock band out of Kansas City, Missouri. Think Coldplay. Then think of a band without money. Or fame. Or sexy accents.
The band is made up of Chris Accardo, Mike Gates, Josh Batz and Steve Parker. Chris and Mike played in the same band in high school. Josh and Park were in competing bands. To this day, they argue about who was best. And by “best” we mean sucked the least.
Since forming in early 2006, S3 has been playing live and enjoying positive feedback from their album All Eyes. Since the albums release, the band has continued to write and produce music. There is no shortage songs. They’ve mixed and mastered 3 new ones already and looking forward to hitting the studio this fall to finish their next CD. Their hard work has paid off with a steady line-up of live shows, TV appearances and a dedicated following of fans.
The guys rehearse religiously, play live any chance they get, and generally just like hanging out with each other and singing. Think “The Partridge Family.” Then think way cooler and without the brightly colored outfits.
