Somos, WE ARE , BACK! Full force style! It's been awhile.Somos has been under reconstruction. We have always dedicated ourselves to bringing "it" to the stage! Our pulse is beating with a groove deeply rooted in the positive that should be shared by all! Somos is flavored with the sounds of funk, jazz and chicanismo. Packing the jams from the way back to the right here and now. We ARE an original six piece mezcla, mixing the very styles that have nourished our souls and ears. The band has had many influences, both recognized and unrecognized. Led by the talented singer/songwriter Emiliano Valdez, he is joined almost at the hip by his hermana Katrina Diana Valdez, who's soulful roaring vocals could blow any house down. Keeping the Somos groove and hammering down with incredible rhythms is Brandon Guevara. Returning to rejoin collaborative forces with Valdez is Rudy Sermeno on bass guitar. Jerimiah Martinez continues his musical journey with the band as the band's background vocalist and guitarist. Somos welcomes it's newest soulfilled member Michael Anotti background vocals/keyboards. Let's take it to the stage! Somos continues it's mission to revolutionize music back to the day when the beats and grooves were living in the real and spreading a positive groove consciousness for all to enjoy.

Tomorrow is the day you leave yet another footprint of history for those who come after us, by leaving your small footpint in this huge complex world you'll know that will last forever because you know one day we all wont. A ripple in the ocean that even the furthest nations apart can feel your tide. How's that for inspiration. Just made that up and oh yeah, I hate to say it but I can't make it tomorrow. Summer school up here in chico is something else. but I know I'll catch you all on the flip side sometime in the future but tomorrow when day breaks, the day is yours....
