Music has been a part of my life since I could walk, and something I never intend on giving up. A lot to be said for live performance adrenaline, and finding the chemistry with those that feel the same passion!
I've been a classically trained musician since the age of 5, but as much as I loved it, my heart belonged to the "other" world. I recall sneaking a small AM radio under the covers with those uncomfortable plastic ear pieces just to be able to hear what I really loved (go KFRC! For those who remember...). I was exposed to Led Zeppelin and Journey at an early age by my cousins, who for some reason, were allowed to listen to all the things I wished I could openly listen to at home! By 8, I was already addicted to rock, the amazing sounds of Motown and the blues...by 11, I wound up a pretty good closet singer! :)
I have had the opportunity, after 20 years on my own, to work under the direction of Amber Morris (www.myspace.com/ambermorrismusic). I cannot say enough about this wonderful human being! She not only expanded my range, but opened my soul and heart to things I never could have imagined possible...I am forever grateful and indebted to her. I know!! I'm sorry! I haven't been on alot...we have 12 years of things to go thru and move, including a 5th wheel and a camaro..I think that this 32 acres we are on is going to be in foreclosure, and funny enuff, the Landlord hasn't told us..I just read the legals in the paper!We are running away to the ocean this next weekend(in 3 days), then when we get back it's on. I just listened to both tracks and was speechless and to be quite honest you made me choke up a little because though I have heard you sing a little before, I was not expecting to hear such great tone, control, pitch, and above all else feeling!
