Sondra Rankin is living her dreams today casting along side her mentors on the most prestigious competitive bass fishing circuit....The FLW Tour. She participates in each event not only to fulfill her determination to win, but to instill an appreciation in people of all ages and gendres, for nature and outdoor recreation! She is motivated, driven by her loyalty to fans and sponsors, to be an accomplished, professional 'female' angler. Her primary goal is to introduce more women and kids fishing! She's helped youth catch their first fish and encouraged many mothers to spend more 'outside' time with their children and loved ones!
Sondra has also previously returned home from a USO Tour, taking her to the deserts of IRAQ to visit our troops overseas. Sondra, along with Joe Mercurio and Eric Mannino, spent several days bouncing from base to base hosting casting competitions for our soldiers. On the final day, at camp Victory in Baghdad, Sondra helped boost the morale of our troops by co-hosting a tournament on Camp Slayer for our men and women. There were over 500 soldiers competing in the event. Operation Catch Fish can be watched soon on the Outdoor Channel.
She hosts a fishing 'reality' show, "Turn up the Bass, with Sondra Rankin", and is a single mother to a brilliant daughter, Faith Noelle.
Not only will you find Sondra fishing, but she is quite at home in her hunting stand as well! She spends her off season in search of trophy whitetail bucks! Sondra also films spots on several outdoor tv programs, one including Hardcore Hunting TV, which airs on the Pursuit Channel. She has a very active profile on Camospace.com/sondrarankin. Sondra is also pursuing a career in country music. She is a recording artist and demo singer working frequently in Nashville, TN, and has continued following her childhood aspirations to entertain. That being said, some of you may have noticed the change in the "Music That Matters: Kentucky" project regarding the addition of Virginia and West Virginia. The reason behind this is simply that interest is increasing faster than we are able to produce each statewide album. Now that "Music That Matters: New England" has been released, we've been inundated with responses and questions from artists/bands from multiple states asking how they, too, can be a part of this.
Therefore, we've decided to start doing three states per compilation. This change comes with many benefits to the artist, as well, specifically offering them a broader range of listeners and potential fans now spreading across THREE STATES now, instead of just their home state.
