Sonex presenta su primer lanzamiento discográfico en el cual participan Ojos de Brujo (Lo supe muy tarde) y Rubén Albarrán de Café Tacuba (La bamba); asimismo, Graciela Iturdibe estuvo a cargo de la fotografía del arte del disco.

Como la tenue luz que se refleja a través de las casas de Tlacotalpan, como la melancólica neblina que abraza a Xalapa, como esa fusión de geometrías, de tiempos perdidos y de otros evolucionados, así nace Sonex.
En el mes de abril del año 2004, a raíz de una fiesta celebrada en el pueblo de Jalcomulco, se crea el grupo de música integrado por: Juan Francisco Galván, bajo; Helio Martín del Campo, Cajón Flamenco; Luis Felipe Luna Farias, requinto jarocho; Jerónimo González García, Jarana Tercera Camil Meseguer Rioux, violín; y Daniel Ávila Souza en la batería.
Ese mismo año, el grupo se queda sin el jaranero Helio Martín del Campo. La ausencia de este integrante y la necesidad de tener una jarana como base determina la participación de Jerónimo González en el Festival de Música Tradicional —Jáltipan, Veracruz—, quedándose éste como integrante fundamental.
Meses después, el mismo año, Helio regresa de Francia y España trayendo una revolucionaria faceta que le permitió al grupo tener nuevos sonidos de percusiones.
Provenientes todos de diversos grupos musicales, los seis integrantes han trabajado a lo largo de dos años con la finalidad de tocar son jarocho; particularizando el sonido a través de sentimientos y tomando en cuenta sus influencias musicales (jazz, flamenco, salsa, son cubano, Perú Negro, cumbia colombiana, son huasteco, entre otros) logran encontrar la fusión que va de lo tradicional a la nueva cadencia de Sonex.

Like the faint light that shines through the houses in Tlacotalpan, like the wistful mist that embraces Xalapa, like the fusion of geometries, of times past and times that evolve, thus is Sonex born.
The music band formed, as a result of a party celebrated in the town of Jalcomulco, in April 2004 with: Juan Francisco Galván, bass; Helio Martín del Campo, third jarana; Luis Felipe Luna Farias, requinto jarocho; Camil Meseguer Rioux, violin; and Daniel Ávila Souza, drums.
That same year, jarana player Helio Martín del Campo left the band. His absence and the need to have a jarana as base determined the participation in the Traditional Music Festival –Jáltipan, Veracruz– of Jerónimo González, who became an essential member of the band since then.
Some months later that same year, Helio returned from France and Spain bringing a revolutionary feature that allowed the band to have new percussion sounds.
Coming from different music bands, the six members have worked for two years with the purpose of playing son jarocho, specifying the sound through feelings and considering their music influences (jazz, flamenco, salsa, Cuban Son, Perú Negro, Colombian cumbia, son huasteco, among others) to find the fusion that moves from tradition to the new cadence of Sonex.
