About me:

I've lived in Abilene my entire life. I spent a majority of my school years at Wylie ISD, then attended college at Abilene Christian University. After graduating, I started working at HHH Enterprises/Friendze Stores, Inc. as their Web Production Artist. Basically what that covers is I designed all the graphics for their websites, along with occasionally building actual sites. I also learned quite a bit about digital photography during that job, which has been a great benefit to my current endeavors. In 2004 I started looking for a new job, because (at HHH) I was trying to cover the job of five people for the pay of less than one. A friend told me about a job opportunity at Associated Publishing Company (Area Wide) as a Graphic Designer. I interviewed for it and was offered the job that day. It was an amazing job. But in October of 2005, we were all told that December 31 was to be our last day. They were terminating the Production Department. Nevertheless, my faith kept me strong and God answered my prayers. Another phone book company, Names and Numbers, decided to move a branch of their company to Abilene and offer all our jobs back. The job was amazing until the economy finally took its toll and the company decided to close the Texas branch on March 6, 2009. Now I'm working as a Student Services Representative for Mid America Learning. Mid America Learning specializes in offering the chance for online nursing education to healthcare professionals who already have at least one degree. It's a great opportunity in the current economy, but the pay is seriously lacking. I'm not complaining too much. It's located in the middle of downtown Abilene, in a beautiful building, and I'm working with an amazing group of people. But with the wedding less than half a year past, Chance and I have a few VERY SERIOUS bills, so it's a bit scary. Nevertheless, it does have fantastic health/dental insurance, so that will work for now!
