Randy Albright...
the songwriter / the singer: I was born in Battle Creek Michigan in August of 1957. I was adopted into a Polish-American family when only 32 weeks old. At the age of 8 I received my first guitar and learned to play chords and sing, and at 9, I had written my first song, all under the instruction of my adopted mother. With my newfound nationality I formed my own Polish orchestra while still in my teens. Though people chuckle when I mention my polish orchestra, it was instrumental in the development of my music career and ultimately my success. My public music career began in front of audiences of disabled veterans and nursing home residents, with a vast repertoire of everything including Catholic Spirituals, Polkas, Rock-n-Roll, and Country. My major musical influence came from my favorite LP of Hank William's Sr. "14 Greatest Hits." I learned to sing along with Hank and my voice took a natural sound like that of my phonograph mentor. After high school and two years of working at a local grocery store saving my money, I knew I wanted to write songs for a living. I packed my things and moved to Nashville at the age of twenty. Once there, I auditioned for Opryland, and a year later I joined the cast of the Country Music U.S.A. Show where I imitated the legendary voice of none other than... Hank William's Sr. While developing my singing and stage skills and appearing on a number of TV shows, and well as over one hundred convention shows through the year 1999, I continued writing and pitching my songs on music row. I signed my first publishing contract with Acuff/Rose in October of 1980, and has been continuously signed as a staff writer for various companies Warner Bros. Music, Almo/Irving Music, 3 Sons Music, Warner/Chappell, Affiliated Publishers Inc and EMI Music. These writing deals have led to over 500 songs written and over 200 songs being recorded, over half of these by Nashville's major market recording artists. I still keep a very active writing and singing schedule with some of Nashville's most innovative writers and artists. I has been a long time resident of White House Tennessee where I reside with my lovely wife and three sons. My main interests along with music are; Family, Religion, Martial Arts (since 1975 and currently a 4th degree black belt), and Creative Photography.
