You may have seen me play. You may have walked past me on the street or seen me through curtains. I might have promised to sing something to you. We might have talked about bass guitar in an empty room while the CD player skipped on Bye bye love. Then showed you my bruised toes. It could have struck me that there's worse things to do than collect notes or try to sing them. I might have tried to tell you that and failed. Instead pointed to the shadows between your fingers. You might have laughed. Yes I think you did.

What they say...

“This is delightful… a bit of banjo, a bit of harmonica and brass, and a sound he describes as ‘layabout country folk’. What more could you want in this weather?” The Guardian

"Charmingly eccentric fingerpicked songs that burrow into your head." UNCUT mag

"Aka Dan Weltman, [Hollowbody's] debut album 'Inside the wolves' is a softly arranged, finger-picked thing of real understated beauty." Venue magazine

“Hollowbody is the work of Dan Weltman from Bristol, and his manifesto appears to be to update acoustic blues for the modern age, while throwing in a bit of English folk whimsy for good measure…‘Inside the Wolves’ is a fantastic debut effort managing to cross the old time music of America with some good old fashioned English eccentricity to generally excellent effect.”

Mama Buzz Open mic

Mama Buzz Open mic

Nov 3 2009 9:35 PM

My attempts to create an Open at the Mama Buzz Cafe have failed. The
will be no open mic at the Mama Buzz cafe. The "Every Second Sunday"
open mic has been double booked for the second month in a row. It is
clear I'm not suited to be the host of an open mic. Thank you all for
your interest and support. My sincerest apologies to all musicians
poets that hoped and even planned for this open mic.

Best of wishes to all.

Hello Dan. Long time no see. I know I cannot make that date which is a real shame. I would have loved to see you and Andi play again. Let me know if you have another gig lined up in London. Hope all is fine and dandy....Jess

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

Hey Dan how are you today? Just had a listen to Aint it fun living in the city, made me poo all over the futon. Is that you and Jess making those blood curdling screams? must admit hers are slightly scarier.
