After the Songwriting Festival 2008 I've been writing a new one every week. These are just rough live demos but fun I hope ... often recorded within a few minutes of being written. One moment there's no song or idea, then 20 minutes or 2 hours later there's a song -- it's magic!
The most recent ten songs at any one time are up there on the myspace player, or click above to hear all 59 so far -- Most recent ones play first.
Edwin - many thanks for the encouraging comments on the SWF songs - I will be uploading them to the RSC page soon. Emualting Cecilia's glorious backing vocals on "Tell Me I'm Wrong" are proving a challenge to say the least, for our bass player... ;)
BTW those particular comparisons are far from hateful. Mr Partridge has been a major inspiration since my teens, and I love the breadth of Richard Thompson's work. So many thanks again.
Keep writing, look forward to hearing more from you.
"Wildflowers" and "Emotion in Motion" had stuck with since the fest and it's grand to get to hear "Losing You" at last - v. Nick Cave-esque indeed sir.
Keep it up, hopefully see you at SWF10 if not before :)
hi edwin - great meeting you sorry we didn't have more time later in the week. the song was key for the week happening - v different & cool. see you again, andy
