“Quality Cuts for Your Projects”
I was born in 1969 in central Missouri, the first of three children. My family lived on a farm in there, which is where I grew up along with one brother and one sister.
As a child, I remember enjoying music while my grandfather played the accordion. Seeing how he enjoyed it enstilled a love for music in me that will never fade. While in junior high, I wrote an essay for an essay contest for school and was a runner up in that contest. While in junior high and high school, I played the clarinet in the marching band. During junior high not only did I learn how to play the clarinet I also learned a little about how to play the piano and the harpsichord. I have also done karaoke quite a few times and have gotten a pretty good response.
I have a number of children including 4 sons and 2 daughters and am expecting another in July 2008.
I started writing poems in 2000 and have had a few poems published. This love for poetry along with my love for music has brought me into a new love for writing songs. My biggest influence in the aspect of my music is not one person but actually a combination of people. It just depends on the lyrics and the type of song that it is. I listen to all different types of music so its not actually one song or even group of songs that has been my biggest influence but the music industry as a whole.
In my extra time, I like to spend time with my kids, friends and family, go fishing, read, and listen to music and sing (mostly country but I like rock, country, soft rock, and a little bit of some other kinds of music) and most of all write songs and poetry. I also enjoy using my voice to express what I feel by singing beautiful songs.
I became a BMI affiliated songwriter in 2002. My first song was released May 2003 with Magic Key Productions and Red Rock Records. Another of my songs, Soldier of My Heart was just released in 2004. In August 2003, I was signed as a songwriter for Oakhill Productions out of Louisiana, but since then, they have gone out of business, leaving me unsigned. I also have several co-writers that I occassionally work with. I am currently working on trying to learn how to play the guitar and hope to someday be able to share my love for songwriting by sharing my songs with the public. My passion also includes learning how to put music to my own lyrics, which hopefully someday will be a success. God has given me this talent, so I hope to give back to Him by giving to the world around me.
