Songwriter Sessions is a monthly music series dedicated to the craft of songwriting. 3 different local and regional songwriters will perform each month in-the-round with the series' host, Lisa Martin.
The hosting venue is The Vanilla Bean.....a warm, and intimate listening room with great food and desserts....renowned for featuring live music from local, regional and nationally touring artists. www.thevanillabeancafe.com
The purpose of the series is to show how diverse the songwriting process is. Each month, participating songwriters are assigned a theme chosen by the previous month's audience, and are required to write a song based on that theme for the show. The newly crafted songs are presented in round 3 of the night.
Interested songwriters may submit online through Sonic Bids (link below) or by email to this site. All genres are accepted, however, as the series is acoustic in nature, interested parties must be able to perform in that manner and are limited to solo or duo configurations due to space constraints. Also a family environment, music containing profanity is not acceptable.
