sym-po-si-um: A convivial meeting for drinking, music and intellectual discussion among ancient Greeks...
What better location for drinking, music and intellectual discussion than a bar that has had live music for decades and is one block from the UC Berkeley campus? With that kind of pedigree, we feel compelled to ensure that this acoustic open mic teaches you something and expands your musical horizons, or at least pours you a decent pint.
This weekly show is in support of local musicians, providing an intimate acoustic vibe in which to perform. Hosted by Sep, the night is for musicians who are in need of an outlet to play. If its your first time on stage, if you are in a band and want to try new material for an audience, have something to say just this once, or want to play every week, we've got your stage.
Sign-ups are at 9:00 sharp, music at 9:30.

We are now taking submissions for feature acts! As a feature act, you get to play for 20 minutes in the 6 spot (or round about there), and you get all the fame and glory that we can offer. Which isn't really all that much, but it's something! Check out the listing of shows to find out who will be featured in the coming weeks.
On July the 11Th, 2008 I will be on the entrance stage of the Best Of the East Bay party 10:30 PM playing till 11 PM and its held at 1000 Oak Street, in Oakland, CA. At this event the great bands The Uptones, Flipper, Destroyer (Kiss Tribute Band), DYLOOT, Hottub, The Key Choice, Brandi Choice, DJ Malachi, The Whoreshoses, Monarchs, Bnai Rebelfront and Agent Ribbons will also be playing. Stop over and say hi.
