About me:

Hello, my name is Sonia. I am french and I teach french language and literature. I've always been attracted to art, everything I do is self-taught, I've never taken any art classes. My inspiration is everywhere around me, a song, a movie, a picture, a view, a quote, a word. The process of creating is much more important to me than the final piece, I value the journey rather than the destination. Besides, I don't think any of my paintings are finished. Always comes the time when I feel I should let my painting go and let it keep growing in other people's mind. I also see my flaws in each of them, things I could have done better, but that's what keeps me painting, improving and challenging myself, learning to see things differently and in a better way. What is painting? growth, silence, air, energy, challenge, one of the most wonderful place to be and get lost in, a journey to the unknown. Am I an artist?
